Friday, April 22 8.00 p.m. The Stedelijk Museum presents the first European museum solo exhibition of the American artist Avery Singer (b. New York, NY, 1987), and her very first presentation in the Netherlands. The exhibition will offer a comprehensive view of the artist’s work since 2012. In the Hall of Honor, Singer will exhibit the vast installation that was enthusiastically received during her Statements presentation at Art Basel in 2015, and which has since been added to the Stedelijk’s permanent collection. Also included are several recent works realized specifically for the Stedelijk.
This exhibition is one of a series of solo presentations in which the Stedelijk highlights an artist early in their career, often in conjunction with new productions, and in some cases recent acquisitions.
Avery Singer - Scenes is on view from April 23 until October 2 at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.

I love drawing... it is personal... direct... spontaneous... one on one... quixotic.
2nd passion is my 9 seat micro-cinema... the camaraderie of friends... sharing drama, comedy, suspense & fear - all in the privacy in 'Greg's Grotto'.
