Seven Young Artists Not to Miss at Frieze

By KAT HERRIMAN - T Magazine

Avery Singer, born 1987, at Kraupa-Tuskany Zeidler
You couldn’t miss the painter Avery Singer at New Museum’s recent Triennial. Her graphic black-and-white paintings have earned her a place at the forefront of the new figurative trend as well as solo shows at L.A.’s Hammer Museum and the Stedelijk in Amsterdam. At Frieze, Singer’s drawings for her Hammer show pop up in Kraupa-Tuskany Zeidler’s booth alongside a new painting the artist created just for the fair: a monochromatic composition streaked with a vibrant blue pigment. The new piece could represent an interesting development in the
painter’s practice.By KAT HERRIMAN - T Magazine - Print Headline: "Seven Young Artists Not to Miss at FriezeBy KAT HERRIMAN - T Magazine - Print Headline: "Seven Young Artists Not to Miss at Frieze"
